ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Colin co-wrote and produced six tracks on this debut, establishing Jamelia as a leading force in UK R&B. A central highlight is the breakthrough single “Money” (ft. Beenie Man), which peaked at Number 5 on the UK Official Singles Chart and Number 2 on the R&B Chart.
The production of “Money” was a global collaboration—with Beenie Man’s verses recorded in Jamaica and the final track mixed by legendary engineer Dave Pensado at Enterprise Studios. The track’s innovative sound earned a dedicated production feature in Sound on Sound magazine and won the MOBO Award for Best Video.
The success of the Drama era resulted in three BRIT Award nominations in 2001, including Best British Female and Best British Video. Further contributions by Colin include her debut Top 40 single “I Do” and the Top 20 hit “Call Me”.
