[FILM 0/2]
Spider-Man: Miles Morales (Audio Case Study)
Role: Sound Design / Film Composition | Project Type: Animation Showcase
PROJECT INSIGHT
This multifaceted project showcases the intersection of cinematic world-building, high-impact sound design, and stylistic versatility in film scoring. Utilizing a striking piece of character animation by industry animator Aslan Almukhambetov (whose credits now include major studio features such as IF and Paddington in Peru), the original clip was stripped to serve as a blank canvas for three distinct audio briefs.
The project explores a meticulous, custom Foley and mechanical sound design layer, followed by two contrasting musical directions: a sweeping, high-stakes orchestral superhero cue designed for a film’s climactic final frame, and a contrasting, groove-heavy hip-hop cue (“The Shoulder Tap”) capturing an intimate, contemporary tone.
